The North Carolina Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Society is dedicated to the advancement of the knowledge and practice of allergy, asthma and immunology to improve patient care and outcomes.

The NCAAIS has advocated for physicians on the following:

  • Payment of 95165 with UHC/Optum
  • Buy and bill for biologics/BCBSNC
  • Participated in payer discussions on medicolegal issues, pricing differences between hospitals and clinics
  • Participating on NCMS Payer Tactics Task Force to address prior authorization, telehealth, payments issues with BCBS 80/20 Health Plans

Scientific Poster Session:

The North Carolina Allergy Asthma & Immunology Society invites residents and fellows to submit posters detailing original resident research (clinical/laboratory) as well as case reports. Accepted posters will be judged by a panel of physician members on Sunday, May 17, at the NCAAIS 2026 Annual Meeting. The top three winning posters will be awarded cash prizes.
